Academics

Most of the academics - the kind we call 'mainstream', and the kind we'd like to call 'alternative' - is founded on an entirely wrong basis. It encourages us to seek validation for what we know, what we understand. Truth doesn't need validation. It is, irrespective of everything.

Academics prepares us to survive, to take up an occupation, to compete, compare, make money. To break life down into a thousand pieces, and to specialize in some of them.
It does not encourage us to find out, to look at things whole; it does not facilitate an insight into living, and dying, without which survival soon turns into nightmare. Masses of people dragging themselves through hellish lives can create nothing but hell on earth. That's what most of us have been doing for centuries.

All efforts to educate and change are in vain as long as individual/structures care not to discover, to venture into that which lies beyond structures, beyond words, beyond conscious will. Change 'comes'. True empowerment is to realize that truth doesn't need power, love is no power-play. Inward peace is impossible without love/truth, so is deep inward happiness.

True education is to realize that there's no teacher. There is only learning, learning all the time without anything to achieve, anywhere to reach. It is to realize that institutions are simply meeting places for people of various age-groups, various characters, various strata of skill and information.

To learn to turn within; ready to be utterly lost, utterly silent, an utter nobody - this comes first.
Academics or no academics, formal schooling or informal schooling, all that's secondary.
